Brisbane's latest must-do for all the foodies, music lovers and socialisers out there is the 'Eat Street' markets. Situated at Hamilton Wharf, 50 specially designed shipping containers have been transformed into mini restaurants that offer a variety of internationally inspired dishes.

The evening kicks off every Friday and Saturday night at 4pm and packs in a great variety of live entertainment, culture and of course, a great selection of food, craft beer and cocktails.

We tasted the Calamari, Vietnamese rice paper rolls and steamed dumplings which were all worth the hefty wait in queues.

Here are a few of my tips if your looking at heading there for the evening:

- Either go early or late, between 6-8 you will be struggling to walk through the crowds - although the atmosphere is pumping the lines can be draining!

- Bring cash - the lines for the ATM are insane (meals from $7 - $18)

- Try a few smaller dishes from different stalls as oppose to selecting a big meal from one

- Catch some of the live music
