In 2013, things got a little nostalgic - we traveled back in time to the 90's. Plaid, denim jackets and crops were runway stars. This year we are taking another trip through time; from dazzling futuristic organzas and high shine silks, to art pop inspired graphic patterns and asymmetric silhouettes, below are some of our favourite trend predictions for 2014!

GET YO SHINE ON
It's time to shine! Antipodium, Anthony Vaccarello, Lavin and Antonio Berardi were just a few of the chic designers who incorporated brilliant metallic looks into their wearable collections.

Keep a look out for pleated metallics and beautiful silk charmeuse skirts creeping in to retail over the next few months - we're looking forward to exploring the design and styling flexibility of this trend.

GEOMETRICS
Unsurprisingly, the thing we love most about Geometrics is the organised chaos. Clashing bright colours and geometric shapes, textures and fabrics speak loudly on otherwise clean and modern silhouettes.

Preen SS14 by Thomas Bregazzi has lit a fire in our hearts - the collection, full of fresh silhouettes, pattern design and impeccable tailoring, is truly a work of art.

ART POP
Art and pop culture has always been a strong influence for fashion designers, and SS14 is no exception. Fun colours, wide and messy brush strokes and pieces that will have you feeling like a walking pop-art portrait continue to be popular especially amongst a modern and youthful audience.

Check out Christopher Kane and Prada SS14 to see this trend applied in a street friendly fashion.

SHEER LOVE
Light fabrics made a strong statement on the runway again this season. Don't be intimidated by the sheerness of mesh, try layering and experimenting with different textures to give any outfit an edgy yet feminine look.

Camilla and Marc continue to impress - this time with their contrast of fine mesh against a sharp structured shift dress.

  1. Oooh fun! I do love when really eccentric creative stuff like this hits the runway. Although I'll miss all the PVC skirts & thigh-highs from the last few years!
