Gwen Stefani

After the 90’s No Doubt sweetheart went onto achieve incredible solo success, she released the Harajuku Lovers fragrance series, her L.A.M.B clothing label and attempted at acting. She married singer and guitarist Gavin Rossdale, and had two sons – Kingston and Zuma born in 2006/08.

At 43, despite wearing black leggings and ox-blood Doc Martens to her Vogue interview, she said, “Time kind of stops when you’re in a band. It’s this suspended childhood, and it’s really awesome, that part of it. But then when you have a family of your own, it forces you to go into the adult world a little bit more.”

Although our Hollaback Girl made a Sweet Escape from the music scene, Gwen is just as busy and just as fabulous these days.

Hanson
MMMbop… can you hear that annoyingly-catchy song in your head right now?
Their 1997 hit song, from their debut album Middle of Nowhere earned three Grammy nominations.

Long locks cut off and looking fairly suave, Zac, Taylor and Isaac are all happily married with kids now. They toured Canada with Carly Rae Jepsen (Call Me Maybe) last year, performed a whole bunch of charity concerts, and are set to release a new album called Anthem next month. I’m not quite sure how to feel about that…

Amanda Bynes
Does The Amanda Show give you some Nickelodeon nostalgia? Amanda Bynes moved to a movie-career – What a Girl Wants, She’s the Man, Sydney White and Easy A, to name a few.

Over the last few years, some irresponsible driving earned her driving-under-the-influence charges. She also somehow escaped a hit-and-run charge. In April, she announced to Twitter she has an eating disorder, and has seemingly lost the plot – tweeting to Drake, “I want @drake to murder my vagina”….

Sarah Michelle Gellar
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star won six Teen Choice Awards throughout her primetime, was the leading lady in The Grudge movies, and went on to marry Scooby-Doo co-star Freddie Prinze Jnr. Earlier this year, it was reported that Gellar would return in a comedy series called The Crazy Ones with Robin Williams, which was picked up for filming this month. Her and Freddie now have two kids, Charlotte Grace and Rocky James Prinze.

Alanis Morrisette
Canadian and American. Singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer and actress.
Throughout her career, Alanis has sold over 60 million albums worldwide.

Where is she now? The Queen of Alt-Rock met Ryan Reynolds at Drew Barrymore’s birthday party in 2002, and they became engaged in 2004, but then announced a mutual split. In 2010, she married rapper Mario MC Souleye Treadway and had a son later in the year. The passionate environmentalist was also named as one of PETA’s World’s Sexiest Vegetarians in 2009.

Backstreet Boys
Twenty years later, Backstreet’s back alright (yes I’m embarrassed I just said that.) The band has given approval for a documentary on their rise to fame in the 90s. They told Rolling Stone last year that a new album with an ‘indie-pop-rock feel’ is ‘about 75 percent through’ and they’re planning a world tour.

Sweet jesus, this is bad.

Mandy Moore
Barely scraping into the 90’s, Moore claimed fame in 1999 with her song ‘Candy’. She split from her record label four years later, and disappeared from the scene until 2007, when she released Wild Hope. But she should of stayed in hiding…
Moore didn’t reach the charts, but at least she got named on VH1’s Sexiest Artists of All Time List?

She married a muso, Ryan Adams, in 2009, and she’s attempted at acting, but found her calling in social activism. She’s the spokesperson for Dove’s self-esteem movement, has served as the Honorary Chairperson for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Society and has raised awareness for cervical cancer.
